Hello! I'm Maaike Niekerk, and I'm a senior majoring in English with minors in journalism and music. I'm from Champaign, and always enjoy writing, long distance running, and playing in any and every musical ensemble.
Personal Statement
I had an amazing experience on my first ride with Illini 4000 getting to see the country up close and hear so many stories. I love this organization and feel that our mission is more important now than ever. I'm so excited to serve as the Ride Leader for the 2026 Bike America Team, and to share more stories and adventures with this group!
