As president and marketing director for Illini 4000, I manage our internal and external operations to ensure that riders feel supported and that our mission of fighting cancer continues. I’m excited to spread the word about an organization that has impacted my life in so many incredible ways.

As Co-President, I help oversee the organization's operations; I help provide riders with the resources they need to be successful and have the best summer of their lives! Hi, I’m Andres Villarreal, a senior in Molecular & Cellular Biology and 2025 Bike America rider. As Logistics Director, I design our route, coordinate accommodations, and oversee the logistical operations that ensure a safe, successful cross-country journey.

My name is Ren! I was a rider for the 2026 Bike America team. Currently, I am a sophomore studying nuclear engineering and data science at UIUC. As the DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) Director of Illini 4000, I help to make sure the ride is accessible to as many people as possible. I work hard to maintain our Gear program which provides inexpensive cycling gear to riders, and make sure that the team feels safe and comfortable on the ride. I am thrilled to be a part of Illini 4000 in the 2026-27 school year!

My name is Tada Washinushi, I was a part of the 2026 Illini 4000 Bike America team. I am a junior studying psychology. As information director, I help to ensure our information is secure and that our website is maintained for our loved ones at home following us along our journey. I am grateful to be a representative of this organization as well as the cause of fighting cancer and helping to shed light on the many powerful stories from people we meet along the course of the ride. Hi, I'm Anna! I am a junior majoring in social work and human development & family studies. I'm the director of the Portraits Project, the branch of Illini 4000 focused on capturing people's stories with cancer through interviews, getting a person-first understanding of these experiences. I'm grateful to be a part of this organization and contribute to the ongoing network of Portraits narratives.
