BIOGRAPHY

Hey there! My name is Lucas Dion, and I am a Sophomore at UIUC studying business Entrepreneurship and communications. When I'm not in the classroom I am a member of the Fighting Illini Triathlon Club, bringing together the three best sports into one. I was born in raised in the small but mighty town of Mokena Illinois. Along with biking, some of my passions include basketball, video games, and music. I’m super excited to be a part of the 2022 Illini 4000 team and get to see the country while supporting such a great cause.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Last year my mom had her own fight with cancer, and it really opened my eyes to how difficult the fight through the disease is for many people. I am very grateful for all the support that she received from everyone around her and support groups, so really helped me realize how important they can be for people fighting cancer. This disease has impacted so many people in my own life as well as so many others throughout the world, so I find that this ride and fundraising process is a great way for me to join the fight against it. I’m excited to begin an endeavor in the fight against cancer as well as motivate others to join the fight as well. Thanks for your support!
