BIOGRAPHY
Greetings!
My name is Bang Nguyen, I graduated from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. I am currently attending DePaul University working on my masters, studying cinematography in the College of Computing and Digital Media. Some hobbies that I enjoy doing are hiking out in nature, playing soccer, taking pictures or simply traveling to new places. My number one passion is storytelling. This started off with photography and has now transitioned into cinematography. My love to develop an impactful story through the arts is what drives me. That's one of my big reasons why i'm pursuing film school at DePaul University.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
I joined the Illini 4000 because I wanted to join the fight against cancer and to share the stories of people who are effected through the portraits project. One of my big reasons that I wanted to join too is because my two good friends Mike and Victor were effected by cancer when I was in high school and it would mean a great deal to me if I can ride in their honor. Not only that but I wanted to put myself up to this challenge in riding across the U.S. for all those who are effected by cancer.
