BIOGRAPHY
Hi guys! I was originally born in China and spent almost 11 years there before I moved to the States and out of all the beautiful, foresty places here, we settled in the DESERT(Arizona). Some of my favorites hobbies include working out, jamming on the guitar, and eating good food(cooking is fun and all but eating really hits different). I used to play soccer a lot but kind of stopped as the pace of high school picked up but overall I'm an active person and enjoy any sort of sport(Yes even golf). Here on campus, I'm involved with a lot of things that are oriented around social good, from Illini 4000 to consulting for non-profits, I am very passionate about giving back to society!
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Cancer to me means something on an entirely different level than many; it is one that I have personally experienced for over five years of my life. Throughout this experience, I encountered many inspiring individuals ranging from other patients who were just like me to teachers who volunteered their time to catch us up in school. I want to do this ride for all of them; I want to make a difference by giving back to the very cause that once affected my life so dearly. I knew many friends who unfortunately wouldn't have the chance to see the world with their own eyes, so by biking across the country I hope to witness the beauty that they had missed in commemoration of them.
