BIOGRAPHY
Hey! My name is Kate Spence and I am currently a sophomore at Columbia College in Chicago. I'm majoring in production design for film, and I love almost anything and everything involving movies. In my free time I enjoy listening to music and going to shows, along with cooking and making art. I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, and I love seeing new places. I'm excited to be apart of the 2020 team and support the fight against cancer on the ride!
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Cancer can affect someone no matter who they are, where they're from, or what they do. It comes in tons of different types, and no two cases are completely alike. When I heard about Illini4000 and The Portraits Project, I was super interested in joining the ride to help raise money and paint a picture of how cancer affects people all across America. I think it's incredibly important to show the ways cancer affects people around the world, as well as funding cancer research.
