BIOGRAPHY
Hi! My name is Rachel Curtis and I am currently a senior studying marketing and business management at the University of Illinois. I grew up not too far from campus in Champaign, Illinois. I have two siblings, a brother who is three years older and an identical twin sister. My entire family has been so supportive of everything I do, and I am so grateful for the opportunities that they have provided me. On my free time I like to run full and half marathons. In the spring of 2017 I studied abroad in Milan, Italy and traveled all throughout Europe. Now, I’ll be traveling across my home country, and I’m proud to say that I’ll be doing it on my bike!
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Cancer is a disease that affects everyone. While I am fortunate that none of my immediate family members have been diagnosed by this horrible disease, I know that there are countless others who have not been so lucky. By taking part in this fight and doing my best to help raise money and spread stories, I hope to play a small part in helping to find a cure. My goal this year will be to raise $4,000 before the ride begins in May. I need your support and appreciate any contribution you can make!
