BIOGRAPHY

HEY! My name is Julissa Nunez and I am from Lemont, IL, a small suburban town with a fairly decent football team. I am majoring in psychology and molecular and cellular biology with a minor in chemistry. I hope to go to medical school after graduation. I like bad pizza, music, and a good laugh. You can find me spending most of my time in the library or watching Netflix. I make a lot of dad jokes and can eat my weight in chicken nuggets. I love going on adventures and exploring nature. I'm a very sassy individual with a passion to help others. That's why I want to go to medical school and become a surgeon. Thank you for considering to donate. This is an amazing organization and I can not be more honored (and excited) to be a part of it. Have a great day filled with happiness.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I recently heard someone say that life was like a walk in the woods. You can either focus on the mosquitoes, life's hardships, or the view, any good thing that life has to offer. I find it amazing that even though cancer patients and their families are going through the toughest times of their lives, they still enjoy the view. That is why I’m doing this ride. There is always something to be grateful for and that has been taught to me by the few amazing cancer survivors I have had the opportunity to meet. I currently don't own a bike, have never been to San Francisco, nor ridden across the country and to be completely honest I am terrified. But it's the men, women, and children, that fight everyday that inspire me to train hard and keep going no matter how difficult it may get. My best friends mom used say to take it one day at a time and that's what I plan to do. Every one of those 4,000 miles are for her and her fight against breast cancer. This is my opportunity to change the lives of others and none of it would be possible without your contribution. Thank you for donating!
