BIOGRAPHY

Hey! My name is Nick, and I am a Master's student studying engineering in International Development. I began my time in college as a music education major, then switched over to civil engineering, where I received my bachelor's degree in December 2018. I enjoy working with international communities to help them accomplish their goals, such as helping design water systems in Honduras or help with reforestation and disaster relief in Puerto Rico. As an undergrad, I was heavily involved with the Marching Illini for four years as a sub-section leader of the Illini Drumline. I am from Buffalo Grove, IL (go Pats) and have two older brothers and two older parents. In my free time I enjoy playing volleyball, writing music, and playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Illini 4000 is a great organization that works toward funding a cause that hits close to my family. I have had two close relatives whose lives have been impacted permanently by cancer in the last year, one of which who lost their life. I am proud to be a part of the driving force that seeks funding for these cancer research and activity programs.
