BIOGRAPHY

Hi friends! I am a senior studying civil engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to I4K, I joined the Concrete Canoe team this year and have been a part of the Illini Pride Student Athletic Board for three years, leading the soccer, wrestling, and baseball student sections! I grew up an Illini fan, decided that I would someday attend Illinois during the men's basketball team's run to the National Championship in 2005, and went to Illini football's Rose Bowl appearance in 2008. I also love baseball and the Milwaukee Brewers! My brothers and I are all named after baseball players. I have made it to 17 MLB stadiums to date and intend to make at least one game at every MLB stadium open in my lifetime. I love to explore the great outdoors, bike around the local state park, and hang out with my cat in my free time. I also bowled a 300 once.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

While only a few people close to me have been affected by cancer, I know of countless other friends and family that have had their lives changed by this disease. I am tremendously excited for the opportunity to raise hope and support for those affected by cancer through our ride and the Portraits Project, whether cancer patients, survivors, or their loved ones. I hope that our ride will bring hope and joy to many and create an extensive network of survivors spread across the country.
