BIOGRAPHY
My name is Stefany Veldhuizen, I am a sophomore majoring in dietetics. Here on campus I am a research assistant in the Metabolic Kitchen and I volunteer with the Sports Nutritionist as well. After graduating from UIUC I plan to attend graduate school, and hope to work for a non-profit. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people along the way. Hiking and exploring the outdoors are a few of my hobbies. I also enjoy running, practicing my ukulele and petting dogs. Road trips are my favorite, and I especially look forward to this trip across the country with a great team. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this team and all that it stands for.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Far too many of my friends and family members have been affected by cancer. A disease as awful as cancer is nothing short of devastating, but I believe that if we all come together to fight this horrible disease, great progress will be made in improving the health of our loved ones. With this in mind, I have dedicated my efforts to raising funds and awareness for cancer research.
