BIOGRAPHY

Hi! I'm a senior studying dietetics with the very reasonable goal of changing the world. At the end of my senior year, I'll be applying to the Peace Corps as a Health Extension Volunteer, and I could not be more enthused to embark on such an adventure. I grew up in a city-suburb hybrid called Elmwood Park that I feel was the most fantastic place to grow up in the universe (we had our choice of, like, twelve authentic pizza restaurants in the immediate area). I was raised with a city-kid mindset and my spirit of adventure was born from there. I joined Alternative Seasonal Breaks as a freshman and spent my school breaks traveling around the country, volunteering with different service organizations, so the Illini 4000 is right up my alley in terms of service and adventure marrying to form the most incredible experience ever. In my spare time I'm a shameless Harry Potter fan and could probably relate everything back to a quote from Friends. I can't wait to spend my last undergraduate summer with my amazing new Bike America teammates!

PERSONAL STATEMENT

This summer, I will personally be riding for the grandfather I lost to colon cancer, the world's best high school cross country coach, and my best friend's little cousin taken far too young by leukemia, while also bearing in mind and heart the lives touched by cancer that my teammates hold dear. Together, we will ride both for those who have suffered in silence and those who have shared their stories, those who fought the bravest fight they've ever known and who will never be forgotten. With your support, someday we will find a way to end cancer's prevalence.
